PROPHECY HEADLINES IN THE NEWS

 

 

REVELATION

 

The book of Revelation as most people know is the last book of the Bible.

And it has to be one of the most feared and neglected, probably due to the prophetical lack of

understanding by it's reader.

This should not be the case as the very name signifies an "Unveiling"

The whole reason we have the book of Revelation is because God wants us to understand events right

from the churches in Asia minor, leading right through to eternity.

 

The word "Revelation" is where you get the Greek word Apokalupsis, and from that we get the English

word apocalypse. 

The first three chapters deals with the Lord's letters to the seven churches which were in Asia minor,

present day Turkey.

Even though these were seven literal churches, they are also a prophetic picture of the churches history on the earth.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The church of Ephesus

  

"To the angel of the church of Ephesus write, "These things say he who holds

the seven stars in his right hand, who walks in the midst of the seven golden

lampstands. I know your works, your labor, your patience, and that you cannot

bear those who are evil. And you have tested those who say they are apostles

and are not, and have found them liars, and you have persevered and have

patience and have labored for my name's sake and have not not become weary

Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love.

Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works,

or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place

unless you repent.

But this you have, that you hate the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.

“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.

To him who overcomes I will give to eat from the tree of life, which is in the

midst of the Paradise of God.” 

 

The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches, and the seven

lampstands which you saw are the seven churches.

The word angel literally means "messenger" it cannot refer to angels here

because angels are never leaders in the church.

Most likely these messengers are the pastors of the seven churches.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The church of Smyrna

 

"And to the angel of the church in Smyrna write, ‘These things says the First

and the Last, who was dead, and came to life:

I know your works, tribulation, and poverty but you are rich; and I know the

blasphemy of those who say they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue

of Satan.

“Do not fear any of those things which you are about to suffer.

Indeed, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison,  that you may be

tested, and you will have tribulation ten days.

Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.

“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.

He who overcomes shall not be hurt by the second death.”

 

 

 

The church of Pergamos

 

"And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write, ‘These things says He who

has the sharp two-edged sword: “I know your works, and where you dwell,

where Satan’s throne is.

And you hold fast to My name, and did not deny My faith even in the days in

which Antipas was My faithful martyr, who was killed among you, where

Satan dwells.

“But I have a few things against you, because you have there those who hold

the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balak to put a stumbling block before the

children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed to idols, and to commit sexual

immorality.

“Thus you also have those who hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which

thing I hate.

“Repent, or else I will come to you quickly and will fight against them with the

sword of My mouth.

“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.

To him who overcomes I will give some of the hidden manna to eat. And I will

give him a white stone, and on the stone a new name written which no one

knows except him who receives it.” 

 

 

The church of Thyatira

 

“And to the angel of the church in Thyatira write, ‘These things says the

Son of God, who has eyes like a flame of fire, and His feet like fine brass:

“I know your works, love, service, faith, and your patience; and as for your

works, the last are more than the first.

“Nevertheless I have a few things against you, because you allow that woman

Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, to teach and seduce My servants to

commit sexual immorality and eat things sacrificed to idols.

“And I gave her time to repent of her sexual immorality, and she did not

repent.

“Indeed I will cast her into a sickbed, and those who commit adultery with her

into great tribulation, unless they repent of their deeds.

“I will kill her children with death, and all the churches shall know that I am He

who searches the minds and hearts. And I will give to each one of you

according to your works.

“Now to you I say, and to the rest in Thyatira, as many as do not have this

doctrine, who have not known the depths of Satan, as they say, I will put on you no other burden. But hold fast what you have till I come.

“And he who overcomes, and keeps My works until the end, to him I will give power over the nations."

 

 

 

The church of Sardis

 

“And to the angel of the church in Sardis write, ‘These things says He who has

the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars:

“I know your works, that you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead.

“Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die,

for I have not found your works perfect before God.

“Remember therefore how you have received and heard; hold fast and repent. 

Therefore if you will not watch, I will come upon you as a thief, and you will

not know what hour I will come upon you.

“You have a few names even in Sardis who have not defiled their garments;

and they shall walk with Me in white, for they are worthy.

“He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out

his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before

My Father and before His angels."

 

 

The church of Philadelphia

 

“And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write, ‘These things says He

who is holy, He who is true, “He who has the key of David, He who opens and

no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens”:

“I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can

shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied

My name.

“Indeed I will make those of the synagogue of Satan, who say they are Jews

and are not, but lie, indeed I will make them come and worship before your

feet, and to know that I have loved you.

“Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from

the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who

dwell on the earth.

“Behold, I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take

your crown.

“He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he

shall go out no more. I will write on him the name of My God and the name

of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven

from My God. And I will write on him My new name.

 

 

The church of Laodicea

 

“And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceansfn write, ‘These things says

the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God:

“I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were

cold or hot.

“So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you

out of My mouth.

“Because you say, ‘I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’

and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked.

“I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich;

and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your

nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you

may see.

“As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent.

“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens

the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.

“To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also

overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.

“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” 

 

                                                                  

At this point, I would like to say that this is what I believe the Word of God is saying concerning the rapture. This is my opinion and I know that i'm in good company. But I'm not totally dogmatic about it, as it could also happen between the 6th and 7th seal. But one thing I do know and that is, the rapture of the church will indeed happen.

 There are today unfortunately many so called pastors, especially those who would preach a prosperity, watered down, feel good  gospel. Who really are wolves in sheep's clothing. To be truthful they care absolutely nothing for you, or your family.

And their advice to you is this, do not worry or study about end times. In fact many will tell you to stay clear of such things.

 

What does Jesus say about this?

 

“Blessed are those servants whom the master, when he comes, will find watching. Assuredly, I say to you that he will gird himself and have them sit down to eat, and will come and serve them.

“And if he should come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants.

“But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into.

“Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.”

 

“Behold, I am coming as a thief. Blessed is he who watches, and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked and they see his shame.” Rev 16:15

 

Immediately I was in the Spirit; and behold, a throne set in heaven, and One sat on the throne.

And He who sat there was like a jasper and a sardius stone in appearance; and there was

a rainbow around the throne, in appearance like an emerald.

 

 

 

 

And round about the throne were four and twenty seats:

and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting,

clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads

crowns of gold.

 

And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and

thundering's and voices: and there were seven lamps of

fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits

of God.

 

 

 

And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the

backside, sealed with seven seals.

And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book,

and to loose the seals thereof.

And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book,

neither to look thereon.

And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither

to look thereon.

 

 

 

 

 

 

And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda,

the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.

And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of

the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven

Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.

And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne.

 

 

 

 

 

 

THE SEVEN SEAL JUDGEMENTS

​

 

1st Seal The rider on this horse is the antichrist. He carries a bow but no arrows indicating all the promises

of peace, which he himself will break half way through the tribulation. Jesus said in John 5:43 "I have come in

My Father’s name, and you do not receive Me; if another comes in his own name, him you will receive". 

 

2nd Seal This is the same rider, the antichrist. Only this time he carries a sword to take peace.

The red horse represents war on a global scale.

 

3rd Seal Again, this is the antichrist only now on a black horse, and instead of a sword he now carries a

set of scales. As with all wars famine gallops behind.

The black horse here represents famine.

 

4th Seal Following on the heels of famine is the pale sickly corpselike horse. The rider here is called death,

which always follows war.

Sadly by the end of the fourth seal one quarter of the world's population will be killed, approximately 1.75 billion people.  

 

5th Seal The fifth seal is the period of time in the tribulation when those who receive Christ will start to be martyred for their faith.

The Word of God say's in Revelation 20:4

"And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years".

 

Notice how they were killed, they were beheaded. The only religion in today's world that beheads is Islam.

 

6th Seal The opening of the sixth seal results in a major worldwide earthquake. It is the first of three to come.

I looked when He opened the sixth seal, and behold, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became like blood.

And the stars of heaven fell to the earth, as a fig tree drops its late figs when it is shaken by a mighty wind.

Then the sky receded as a scroll when it is rolled up, and every mountain and island was moved out of its place.

And the kings of the earth, the great men, the rich men, the commanders, the mighty men, every slave and every free man, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains.

And said to the mountains and rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb!

“For the great day of His wrath has come, and who is able to stand.

 

 

THE SEALING OF THE 144,000 JEWS 

 

Between the sixth and seventh seal there is the seal of God on the foreheads

of 144,000 Jews.

​

12,000 of each of the twelve tribes of Israel.

​

Judgement is temporally suspended until all 144,000 are sealed.

 

 

 

 

7th Seal When He opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour.

 

This is an anticipating silence of what is to come. If you note, it says that this silence is only in Heaven. It will be anything but that on earth.

Could it be that the Lord is giving the inhabitants of the earth a collective time-out, a pause to consider their eternal destination before he pours out his

righteous wrath on all those who have rejected Christ.

 

 

And I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and to them were given seven trumpets.

Then another angel, having a golden censer, came and stood at the altar. He was given much

incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all the saints upon the golden altar which

was before the throne.

And the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, ascended before God

from the angel’s hand.

Then the angel took the censer, filled it with fire from the altar, and threw it to the earth.

And there were noises, thundering's, lightnings, and an earthquake.

So the seven angels who had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound.

After the seven seal judgements come the seven trumpet judgements.

 

THE SEVEN TRUMPET JUDGEMENTS

 

THE FIRST TRUMPET The first angel sounded: And hail and fire followed, mingled with blood, and they were thrown to the earth.fn And a third of the trees were burned up, and all green grass was burned up.

 

Vegetation struck. Hail, fire and blood strikes one third of all trees and all green grass is burned up.

 

 

THE SECOND TRUMPET  Then the second angel sounded: And something like a great mountain burning with fire was thrown into the sea, and a third of the sea became blood.

And a third of the living creatures in the sea died, and a third of the ships were destroyed.

 

Seas struck. This is possibly an asteroid which slams into the sea, causing one third of the sea to become blood. One third of all sea creatures die and one third of all ships destroyed. Most likely due to tidal waves.

 

 

THE THIRD TRUMPET Then the third angel sounded: And a great star fell from heaven,

burning like a torch, and it fell on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water.

The name of the star is Wormwood.

A third of the waters became wormwood, and many men died from the water,

because it was made bitter.

 

Fresh water struck. Most likely a comet will break up in the atmosphere,

falling on reservoirs, dams and fresh water lakes, and many will die due to poisoning.

Hence it's name WORMWOOD   

 

 

THE FOURTH TRUMPET Then the fourth angel sounded: And a third of the sun was struck, a third of the moon, and a third of the stars, so that a third of them were darkened. A third of the day did not shine, and likewise the night.

 

Heavens struck. One third of the sun, moon and stars will be struck, so they will give up one third less heat. Possible severe winter conditions. The like of which we've never experienced. 

 

Prior to the fifth trumpet, and next on God's prophetic time-table is the sounding angel.

Anyone still surviving, for that's all it will be, will be left in no doubt that this is indeed an

angel of the Lord. As he will be heard by everyone as he shouts "woe, woe, woe"  

 

And I looked, and I heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud

voice, “Woe, woe, woe to the inhabitants of the earth, because of the remaining blasts of

the trumpet of the three angels who are about to sound!”

 

As i said above, this angel shouts woe three times One for each of the three remaining

trumpets still to come.

If you thought the last four trumpet judgements were bad, the next three are extremely worse. Hence the warning.

If by now God has got your attention and you still have not asked the Lord Jesus Christ to save you, then I would plead with you now.

Please surrender your life to him now. Admit to him you are a sinner , humble yourself before God and ask him to save you.

It is not his will that you should perish.

God loves you very much.

 

That whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

 

 

THE FIFTH TRUMPET Then the fifth angel sounded: And I saw a star fallen from heaven to the earth. To him was given the key to the bottomless pit. And he opened the bottomless pit, and smoke arose out of the pit like the smoke of a great furnace. So the sun and the air were darkened because of the smoke of the pit.

Then out of the smoke locusts came upon the earth. And to them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power.

They were commanded not to harm the grass of the earth, or any green thing, or any tree, but only those men who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads.

And they were not given authority to kill them, but to torment them for five months. Their torment was like the torment of a scorpion when it strikes a man.

In those days men will seek death and will not find it; they will desire to die, and death will flee from them.

The shape of the locusts was like horses prepared for battle. On their heads were crowns of something

like gold, and their faces were like the faces of men.

They had hair like women’s hair, and their teeth were like lions’ teeth.

And they had breastplates like breastplates of iron, and the sound of their wings was like the sound of

chariots with many horses running into battle.

They had tails like scorpions, and there were stings in their tails.

Their power was to hurt men five months.

And they had as king over them the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon,

but in Greek he has the name Apollyon.

 

 

Unsealed struck. Unlike the other stars that fell, this one is an angelic being. Most likely Satan himself.

The bottomless pit or abyss is where a lot of demonic hordes are incarcerated. These are not normal locusts but are demonic in form.

But like locusts which have a life cycle of five months {May-Sept} these demonic one's will have the power to torment five months.

 

Can you imagine it, to be tormented by so much pain. And yet for five months, death will not be granted to you.

Even though this will be horrific. God in his mercy is still trying to reach out to you, judgement after judgement still

trying to get your attention.

​

The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness,

but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. 2 Peter 3;9

 

One woe is past. Behold, still two more woes are coming after these things.

 

THE SIXTH TRUMPET Then the sixth angel sounded: And I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God,

saying to the sixth angel who had the trumpet, “Release the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates.”

So the four angels, who had been prepared for the hour and day and month and year, were released to kill a third of mankind.

Now the number of the army of the horsemen was two hundred million; I heard the number of them.

And thus I saw the horses in the vision: those who sat on them had breastplates of fiery red, hyacinth blue, and sulphur yellow; and the heads of the horses were like the heads of lions; and out of their mouths came fire, smoke, and brimstone.

​

By these three plagues a third of mankind was killed—by the fire and the smoke and the brimstone which came out of their mouths.

For their power is in their mouth and in their tails; for their tails are like serpents, having heads; and with them they do harm.

 

Mankind struck

I do not believe that this judgment, just like the fifth will effect Christians. As they will have the seal of the living God on their foreheads.

This is the same golden altar, that the prayers of the saints ascended to in Rev 8:3,4

John heard a voice from this altar saying loose the four angels that are bound in the great river Euphrates. These angels are bound, so they are fallen angels. Earlier we heard that four of God’s holy angels were to restrain judgment until the Lord’s servants were sealed for protecting.

 

Now these four unstrained fallen angels are to execute judgment.

Some believe that this refers to the force that accompanies the kings of the east in rev 16:12 but that event occurs with the sixth bowl judgment which will happen later on.

These horses are supernatural as are their riders. Have supernatural horses ever presented themselves before in scripture? The answer is yes. In 2 kings 2:11, 2 kings 6:13-17 and don’t forget that when the Lord Jesus Christ returns to rightfully take up his kingdom, he will be accompanied by the armies of heaven riding on white horses.
