Why do we need salvation? why do I need to be saved?

Sin is defined by God as a transgression, or violation, of his law in I John 3:4.

Sin is something that we are all guilty of. All of us, at some point in our lives, have violated the law                                                                                                                 of God.

This is pointed out to us in both the new and the old testament, Ecclesiastes 7:20 and Romans 3:23.

In fact, we are born into sin. Because of Adam's disobedience to God, sin was introduced into the                                                                                                                 world, and as a consequence, so was death.

As Paul explained in Romans 5:12, sin and death are passed onto everyone at birth, and because of that we are all guilty by nature, we are all sinners.

But hey you might say, I'm not all that bad.

 Really!!!

God does not put degrees on sin. He doesn't regard that some

sins as worse than others. To God, all sins are capital, requiring

 the sentence of death.

James 2:10 says For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and

yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all

So even if you manage to keep all of God's law for all your life,

then maybe tell one little whit lie, you are guilty of violating the whole of the law of God.

The payment for that sin is death.

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

So why do we need salvation? Because if you're not saved you're under God's wrath, and that means you

are in peril and in imminent danger of death.

Separated from God for ever, totally separated from a loving God.

Can you imagine it, what will seem like an eternity in darkness then to be judged by Almighty God at the

Great White Throne and then sentenced to the lake of fire, forever.

The Bible says that there will also be weeping and gnashing of teeth, which means sadness, anger,

 fearfulness and loneliness.

God is Holy and  Righteous, and because of this God will deal justice according to his own righteous law,

which he is obligated to uphold because he is God and there is no one greater than him. And so there must be a payment for sin. And the only one who could pay that   was himself.

That's why God came to this earth in the form of a man. His name was Jesus.

He was the sinless son of the living God. Jesus had to pay the debt price, the blood price to cover or blot out our sins because his blood was without sin.

‘ For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that makes atonement for the soul.’   Lev 17:11

The Scripture says, “For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures,

that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures” 1 Corinthians 15:3-4.

Evidence affirms that the sinless Jesus bled and died on a cross.

Most importantly, the Bible explains why Jesus’ death and resurrection provide the only   entrance to heaven.

God created earth and man perfect. But when Adam and Eve disobeyed God’s commands, He had to punish them. A judge who pardons law-breakers isn’t a

righteous judge. Likewise, overlooking sin would make the holy God unjust.

Death is God’s just consequence for sin.
Good works cannot make up for wrongs against the holy God. Compared to His

goodness, “All our righteousness's are as filthy rags” Isaiah 64:6

Ever since Adam’s sin, every human has been guilty of disobeying God’s

righteous laws. For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” Romans 3:23

Sin is not just big things like murder or blasphemy, but also includes love of

money, hatred of enemies, and deceit of tongue and pride. Because of sin,

everyone has deserved death – eternal separation from God in hell.

The promise required an innocent death.

Until then, men would sacrifice innocent lambs, showing their repentance from sin and

faith in the future Sacrifice from God who would bear their penalty. God reaffirmed His

promise of the Sacrifice with men such as Abraham and Moses.

Herein lies the beauty of God’s perfect plan: God Himself provided the only sacrifice (Jesus) who could atone for the sins of His people. God’s perfect Son   fulfilled   God’s perfect requirement of God’s perfect law. It is perfectly brilliant in its simplicity. God made Him (Christ), who knew no sin, to be sin for us   that we might become the righteousness of God in Him” 2 Corinthians 5:21.

The bible foretold all about Jesus death.

 Isaiah the prophet wrote:
"Who has believed what they heard from us? And to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed? For he grew

up before him like a young plant, and like a root out of dry ground; he had no form or majesty that we should look

at him, and no beauty that we should desire him. He was despised and rejected by men; a man of sorrows, and

acquainted with grief; and as one from whom men hide their faces he was despised, and we esteemed him not.

Surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed him stricken, smitten by God, and

 afflicted.

But he was wounded for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that

brought us peace, and with his stripes we are healed.

All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all.

He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth; like a lamb that is led to the slaughter,

and like a sheep that before its shearers is silent, so he opened not his mouth.

By oppression and judgment he was taken away; and as for his generation, who  considered that he was cut off out of the land of the living, stricken for the   transgression of my people?

And they made his grave with the wicked and with a rich man in his death, although he had done no violence,

and there was no deceit in his mouth. Yet it was the will of the LORD to crush him; he has put him to grief; when his soul makes an offering for sin, he shall   see his offspring; he shall prolong his days; the will of the LORD shall prosper in his hand."

"Out of the anguish of his soul he shall see and be satisfied; by his knowledge shall the righteous  one, my servant, make many to be accounted righteous,

and he shall bear their iniquities. Therefore I will divide him a portion with the many, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong, because he poured out his   soul to death and   was numbered with the transgressors; yet he bore the sin of many, and makes intercession for the transgressors” Isaiah 53:1-12.

He likened the coming Sacrifice to a lamb, slaughtered for the sins of others.

Hundreds of years later, Isaiah’s prophecy was fulfilled in the perfect Lord Jesus, born of the virgin Mary.

When the prophet John the Baptist saw Him, he cried, "Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!” John 1:29

Why did Jesus have to die? Remember, Holy God cannot let sin go unpunished. To bear our own sins would be to suffer God’s judgment in the flames of hell.

But God kept His promise to send and sacrifice the perfect Lamb to bear the sins of those who trust in Him.

Jesus had to die because He is the only one who can pay the penalty for our sins.

So how can you be saved

There is no more important issue than our eternal destiny.

Thankfully, the Bible is abundantly clear on how a person can be saved.

The Philippian jailer asked Paul and Silas, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” (Acts 16:30).

Paul and Silas responded, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved” (Acts 16:31).

"For whosoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.” Rom 10:13

“Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household."

 Acts 16:31

 Paul the apostle wrote:

"That if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved; for with the heart man   believes,   resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth confesses, resulting in salvation" Romans 10:9-10

 We must be spiritually born-again:

"Jesus answered and said to him, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born-again he cannot see the kingdom of God." Nicodemus said to Him, "How can a   man be born when he is old? He cannot enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born, can he?"

Jesus answered, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

Do not marvel that I said to you, 'You must be born again'" John 3:3-7

When we ask Jesus to forgive us our sins and truly repent, then we become born-again and saved.

If you would like to be saved then just pray this prayer, even in your own words, but mean it from the bottom of your heart and God will save you.

Dear God in heaven, I come to you in the name of Jesus. I acknowledge to You that I am a sinner, and I am sorry for my sins and the life that I have lived; I   need your   forgiveness.
I believe that your only begotten Son Jesus Christ shed His precious blood on the cross at Calvary and died for my sins, and I am now willing to turn from my   sin.
You said in Your Holy Word, Romans 10:9 that if we confess the Lord our God and believe in our hearts that God raised Jesus from the dead,

 we shall be saved.

Right now I confess Jesus as the Lord of my soul. With my heart, I believe that God raised Jesus from the dead. This very moment I accept Jesus Christ as

my own personal Saviour and according to His Word, right now I am saved.
Thank you Jesus for your unlimited grace which has saved me from my sins. I thank you Jesus that your grace never leads to license, but rather it always leads   to repentance. Therefore Lord Jesus transform my life so that I may bring glory and honour to you alone and not to myself.
Thank you Jesus for dying for me and giving me eternal life.
 Amen.

If you have just prayed this prayer, then welcome to the family of God.

The next thing you need to do is this,  That if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead,

you shall be saved; for with the heart man believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth confesses, resulting in salvation" Romans 10:9-10

Tell others what Christ has done for you, as a witness to God and also as a witness to them that they too need to be saved.

Get into a bible-based church and get the hold of a bible and start reading. I suggest you start at the gospels and then right through to the end.

again at Genesis. Just dig in to the treasures of The Word Of God.

Once you have found a church home, you will want to become water-baptized.

By accepting Christ you are baptized in the spirit, but it is through water-baptism that you show your obedience to the Lord.

Water baptism is a symbol of your salvation from the dead. You were dead but now you live, for the Lord Jesus Christ has redeemed you with a great price.

That price was His death on the cross.

If I have been of any help, then please contact me and let me know, so that I too may rejoice in your salvation.

There is always a place at the Father's table.

 May God Bless You.

 Jesus loves you very much.
