The Signs Of The Times

 

  Prophecy events relating to the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ are everywhere. It's getting to the point where it is very hard to keep up with all the signs.

  Just as Jesus said it would.

  In fact you would almost have to be completely spiritually blind not to notice that this earth is spiralling at breakneck speed towards something cataclysmic.

  As Christians, we know not just what, but who that something is. It is the soon and very soon coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.    

 

 The signs of the times we are now living in, known also as the End Times, can be broken down into several areas.

 

                                         The Great Apostasy And Decline Of The Church

 

 

  And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you.

  For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many.

  Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many.

  For false Christ's and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive,

  if possible, even the elect.

  See, I have told you beforehand. Matthew 24

​

  Notice how Jesus uses the word deceives four times! He is telling us to beware, take heed because

  not only will there will be many who will come in his name, but also use his name to deceive many.

  You only have to tune in to the godless channels to see just how many there are.

​

​

  For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God; and if it begins with us first, what will

  be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God? 1 Peter 4:17

​

  The popular "purpose driven" and "seeker sensitive" mentality that pervades our churches today is preaching a "feel good wishy washy" gospel, and is a counterfeit

  watered-down version of true Salvation through Christ's atoning blood.

  The word of faith movement, the name it and claim it belief, is a common example. You want something, you know you deserve it, so go ahead and speak it

  into existence.  

  I could go on and on about this as there is much to say.

  Sadly because of this apostasy many will be deceived.

​

  If you find yourself in one of these churches that preaches this nonsense,

  then my advise to you is get out. 

  Not only are Christians being deceived, but when the world looks at these so

  called pastors and teachers, the first thing that comes to their mind is scam.

  Not only can the world spot a wolf in sheep's clothing easier than a lot of Christians,

  but it is also a determent, a stumbling block to them coming to faith.

​

​

  These drunk teachers of the Word of Faith movement are not born again by the

  precious Holy Spirit of God, they are instead anointed by an unclean counterfeit

  demon spirit, with one goal in mind, and that is to lead as many souls away from Jesus.

​

  Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition,

  2 Thess 2:3 

​

  The great falling away is well underway. Again, if you're involved in this movement, then my advice to you is REPENT, get out of it and stay out.

​

                                      

                                                   As In The Days of Lot

​

  Jesus Christ gave many "indicator markings" to help us to determine when His second coming is near. 

                                          

  Luke 17:28-30: Likewise as it was also in the days of Lot: They ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they

  planted, they built; but on the day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and

  destroyed them all. Even so will it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed.

  Jesus tells us that an indicator of His imminent return will be that the society around us will be similar to that of

  Sodom when Lot lived there nearly four thousand years ago. People will be going about their everyday lives

  seemingly unconcerned about the egregious evils in society, unaware and even to the point of not caring that their

  lifestyles are abominable in the eyes of God. Thinking their ways of life are "normal," hey we were born this way

  they say, and they will not expect the calamitous events that will befall them.

​

  Sodom's culture was rampant homosexuality. English has borrowed the words sodomy and sodomite to describe homosexuality and those who practice it.

  When angels came to Lot in the form of human men to inform him that God would overthrow the city, the men of Sodom came to Lot's door, demanding that the

  visitors come out and have a homosexual relationship with them (Genesis 19:1-5).

  The angels then struck these Sodomites with blindness to drive them away (verse 11).

​

  The men of Sodom apparently regarded it as "normal"; they did not view it as evil at all

  Today, a similar attitude is very quickly working its way into our society and the church.

  Increasingly, homosexuality is considered to be an ordinary lifestyle. Instead of being

  viewed as a horrible perversion, homosexuality is more and more being regarded as

  an "orientation".

​

  Many would undoubtedly applaud this push to bring homosexuals out of the closet

  and allow them to practice their lifestyle openly with the same rights as "straight"

  people. Many would argue that this is an "enlightened" and "progressive" movement

  that all decent human beings should advocate.

  But what does God say about this? How does He see and regard homosexuality?

  Does God advocate gay rights?

​

​

  God sees things quite differently than most people in this world. He clearly states that homosexuality is

  wrong Leviticus 18:22

  It is an abomination of which people must repent! In no uncertain terms, He decrees that homosexuals will NOT inherit

  the Kingdom of God I Corinthians 6:9.

  God reveals that when people accept the attitude that homosexuality is "normal," they have begun to tread the path that

  will ultimately lead to their destruction.

  As we see the same conditions that existed "in the days of Lot" are already here today.

  I would plead with you, that if you are in this lifestyle, get out of it and repent. Jesus loves you as a person very very

  much, but the SIN you are committing he hates.

​

  This is another sign that the glorious second coming of Jesus Christ is drawing near.

​

​

               The Jewish homeland had to be re-established in the Middle East

  

  Geopolitically, the central focus of end-time events has to be Jerusalem, what many people refer to as the

  Holy Land. 

​

  In the book of Luke chapter 21 the disciples ask the question: "Teacher, when will these things be? And what

  sign will there be when these things are about to take place

​

  In response, Jesus said

  "Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that

  summer [is] nigh: So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.

  Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled." Matthew 24:32-34
 

  So He tells them that the generation of people that will be alive on the earth when the Last Days come about,

  would witness what He called the "fig tree" blooming, and putting forth it's leaves.

  So who or what is the "fig tree"?

​

  And who might that last generation might be?.

  Jesus was saying that when you see ISRAEL re-blooming, whenever that would take place, that generation would be the last one that would be on the earth and living    when the Last Days would occur.

​

  Israel was last destroyed in 70 AD, and it was re-birthed again? on May 14 1948  the date that history records that fact occurring.

  The generation that witnessed that, the WWII generation, still have not, for all intents and purposes, passed off the scene. They are still alive and with us today, and we    are the people that Jesus said would be alive on the earth when the Last Days would happen.

  Anyone living a century ago would have found these words nearly impossible to comprehend. Jerusalem in ancient times had been fought over countless times, for

  four centuries from 1517 the city had been at peace within the boundaries of the Ottoman Empire.

  Jews lived there as a minority under Turkish rule. But this was going to change dramatically during the course of the 20th century.

​

  It had to change for the fulfilment of Bible prophecy to take place.

  The Old Testament prophet Zechariah was used by God to reveal a great deal about end-time events and the second coming of the Messiah.

  Zechariah lived and prophesied more than 500 years before Christ's first coming, yet his prophetic book tells us a great deal about our world of today.

  In Zechariah:12:2-3  Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against    Jerusalem.
  And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth

  be gathered together against it.

  This is what's known as the Fig Tree Prophecy

​

  Israel is the master sign that Jesus is coming soon.

​

The World Will Embrace A Single Religion

​

  All the inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast, all whose names have not been written

  in the book of life belonging to the Lamb that was slain from the creation of the world.

​

  The one world religion idea has been around for most of our generation, often under the guise

  of ecumenism.

  As the liberal denominations continue watering down their theology there are fewer things

  keeping them apart.

  Now some Evangelical leaders are questioning whether Jesus is really the only way to salvation

​

  The flirtation between certain Evangelical groups and the Catholic Church is interesting, as is

  the dialog between the Pope and Leaders of Islam, and their common devotion to Mary.

  The Catholic Church is one of the richest organizations on the planet with over 1 billion

  members on 6 continents, and clearly thinks of itself as the world's dominant religious group.

  It's no secret that the Catholic church is posturing itself to be a major player in End times events.

​

  The rise of radical Islam is another chief threat to world peace today and their goal is nothing less than world domination.

  Their god is not the God of the Bible, and their fight with Jews and Christians actually began in the 7th Century AD when the Jews rejected Mohammed's offer

  of consolidation. Prior to that time he had counselled his followers to respect and befriend the Jewish people, but when they refused to join his religion,

  he declared jihad (holy war) against them.

  Christians were included 400 years later as a result of the Crusades.

​

  Currently nearly one out of five inhabitants of the world is a Muslim, 

  And Islam might well be soon be the world's most popular religion, and after the removal of

  Evangelical Christians in the Rapture it could easily be the foundation on which the one world religion is built.

​

  Today so many churches and so called Christians, people like Rick Warren are trying to

  join both religions into something they all Chrislam again all this is headed by Rome who

  in the end wants to control all the religions.

​

  Do not believe the lie that the god of Islam is the same as the God of the bible, he is not. 

​

  In 2 Thes. 2:7 Paul wrote that the secret power of lawlessness was already at work in the

  world but that the One who holds it back would continue to do so until He is taken out of

  the way (out of the midst). Understand that Paul wasn't referring to man's disregard for

  the law here, but rather to his refusal to accept the truth. In New Testament Greek the

  word for unbelief is also translated disobedience. God's view is that there's just too much

  clear evidence of His existence for anyone not to believe in Him. Therefore so-called

  unbelievers are really disobeying by refusing to believe.

 

 

 

  In 1 Tim 4:1 Paul warned us of the doctrines of demons and in 2 Tim 4:3-4 of the growing popularity of mythology as being part and parcel of this end times religion.

  This is the lawlessness Paul was writing about. Having rejected the truth, those left after the Rapture will be ripe for the Great Lie of 2 Thes 2:9 to fill the need every

  man has to believe in something greater than himself.

​

  All it will take is for a charismatic religious leader to emerge, a leader powerful enough to bring all those who are left behind into one counterfeit religion.

​

  I believe that you have to be totally blind not to see that this demonic religion is anything but a religion of peace.

  Amazingly the bible talks about the martyrs in the book of Revelation being beheaded for their faith in Jesus Christ.

​

  What religion today beheads people if they don't convert to their religion? The answer is peaceful (not) Islam.

 

 

Famines, pestilence, earthquakes

 

  "For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in

  divers places" (Mat 24:7).

  "And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven"

  (Luke. 21:11).

​

  It is an astounding paradox that there is at the same time plenty of every variety of life-sustaining

  foods, and medicines in most of the western world particularly in America, yet there are deadly

  pestilences and famines in places such as Ethiopia, the Sudan, and many other geographical regions.

​

  These are created in almost every case by ethnic cleansing ordered by dictators, just as Jesus

  foretold. "Nation shall rise against nation The word for "nation" is the Greek word "ethnos," from

  which our English word "ethnic" is derived.

​

  In the Asian, African and Latin American countries, well over 500 million people are living in what the

  World Bank has called, “absolute poverty.” The World Health Organization estimates that one-third

  of the world is well-fed, one-third is under-fed, and one-third is starving. Currently the number of

  under-fed people is increasing.

​

  Pestilences epidemics such as aids and cancer are sweeping across our nations and according to

  the American Cancer Society, cancer accounts for 1 of every 4 deaths. In this year alone they are

  expecting about 565,650 American deaths from cancer.

​

  Ebola still has the "upper hand" in the outbreak that has killed more than 1,400 people in West Africa

  but experts have the means to stop it, a top American health official said during a visit to the hardest

  hit countries.

​

  According to Youth Aids, the HIV virus will claim the lives of some 6,800 people

  daily and about 5,700 people will die from the aids virus each day.

  Not only that but breakouts of viruses, such as the swine flu and tuberculosis,

 The Gospel Will Be Preached In All The World

 

  Once again Jesus answers the question posed by the disciples: "When will these things be?

  And what will be the sign of your coming, and of the end of the age?"

  "Matthew:24:3And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign

  of thy coming, and of the end of the world."

​

  After listing a number of signs of the nearness of His coming as mentioned above, He reveals that "this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world

  as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come" 

​

  The gospel is the good news of the coming Kingdom of God. This message could not be preached around the world without the Bible and freedom of religion.

  Both came gradually with the ascendancy of the English-speaking peoples from the 16th century until the present day.

  However, it was only with the technological advances of satellites, television and radio and other means of mass communication after World War II

  and their widespread acceptance that it became possible to reach hundreds of millions of human beings with the message of the Bible.

​

  Even so, during the last 50 years it has not been possible to reach all countries. The former communist

  nations did not allow freedom of religion. China, with one quarter of the world's people, still does not.

  Other nations also try to suppress the publication of biblical truth and even the Bible itself.

  Many Islamic nations do not allow religious freedom.

  In most Islamic countries people risk the death penalty for changing religion.

​

  But the Internet is changing everything. It is much harder for governments to control.

​

  The gospel message of the coming Kingdom of God is still going out to the world.

  It will finish when God has decided that His work is completed and the time is right for the final end-time events

  to take place.

  All these signs above are but a small percentage of so many signs, that for first time ever, are all happening 

  at the same time.

  "Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption

  draws near." Luke:21:28
