The Appearance Of The Mighty Angel

Earlier on between the sixth and seventh seal judgement, there was an interlude. In which God remembered

mercy in his wrath, and sealed the 144,000 Jews,

 

"And I heard the number of those who were sealed, one hundred and  forty-four thousand of all the tribes

of the children of Israel were sealed: Rev 7:4

After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could  number, of all nations, tribes,

peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with

palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, saying, “Salvation belongs to our God

who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!” Rev 7:9,10

 

Here again in chapter 10 is another type of interlude which is again between the

6th and 7th trumpet judgement.

 

I saw still another mighty angel coming down from heaven, clothed with a cloud. And a rainbow was on his head, his face was like the sun, and his feet like pillars of fire. He had a little book open in his hand. And he set his right foot on the sea and his left foot on the land, and cried with a loud voice, as when a lion roars. When he cried out, seven thunders uttered their voices.

 

Now when the seven thunders uttered their voices, I was about to write; but I heard a voice from heaven saying to me, "Seal up the things which the seven thunders uttered, and do not write them.”

The angel whom I saw standing on the sea and on the land raised up his hand to heaven and swore by Him who lives forever and ever, who created heaven and the things that are in it, the earth and the things that are in it, and the sea and the things that are in it, that there should be delay no longer, 

but in the days of the sounding of the seventh angel, when he is about to sound, the mystery of God would be finished, as He declared to His servants the prophets. Rev 10:1-8

 

This mighty angel is none other than the Lord Jesus Christ. And the reason that "he sets his right foot on the sea and his left foot on the land" was to indicate that he is claiming both the earth and the sea as his own possession, as scripture say's  "For the earth is the LORD’s, and all its fullness" 1Co 10:26

 

The phase mystery of God would be finished, as He declared to His servants the prophets. Rev 10:1-8  indicates all his dealings with man as written through the Holy Word of God will be consummated.

In other words, when Christ comes to reign, there will be no longer mystery, but

manifestation.

They shall not hurt nor destroy in all My holy mountain, For the earth shall be

full of the knowledge of the LORD, As the waters cover the sea. Isaiah 11:9

 

THE TWO WITNESSES

 

During the battle between the two witnesses, and the antichrist, the antichrist dies

and descends into the abyss.  His descent at the same time corresponds with

Satan being cast out of heaven. And war broke out in heaven: Michael and his

angels fought with the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought, 8 but

they did not prevail, nor was a place found for them in heaven any longer. 9

So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and

Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his

angels were cast out with him. Revelation 12:7-9

 

Satan now resurrects the Antichrist who was killed visibly by a mortal wound.

The resurrected antichrist, now incarnated by Satan, kills the two witnesses, allowing their dead bodies to lie in the streets of Jerusalem for 3 ½ days

When they finish their testimony, the beast that ascends out of the bottomless pit will make war against them, overcome them, and kill them. Revelation 11:7

 And after slaying them he carries out the abomination of desolation. Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week; But in the middle of the week He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering.
And on the wing of abominations shall be one who makes desolate, Even until the consummation, which is determined, Is poured out on the desolate.” Dan 9:27

 

The death of God’s two witnesses is a further demonstration of his grace to the survivors of this earth. 

The two dead witnesses resurrect in the view of those who were rejoicing just seconds ago.

They are called back up into heaven as a final close to their public ministry.

 

After the translation of God's two witnesses, there will be an Earthquake in Jerusalem.

The result of the earthquake will be the death of seven thousand men and a tenth of the city will be destroyed.

In the same hour there was a great earthquake, and a tenth of the city fell. In the earthquake, seven thousand

people were killed, and the rest were afraid and gave glory to the God of heaven. Rev 11:13

 

I know that there are many opinions as to when the two witnesses start their ministry, who they are and so forth.

This is what I believe.

The two witnesses start their ministry at the very start of the tribulation period, in other words the first three and one half years. This makes more sense to me for many reasons, 1) The length of their ministry which is 1260 days

               2) With the church now raptured, God once again turns his attention back to Israel, hence the two Jewish witnesses.

As to their identities, I believe and once again it is my opinion that it will be Elijah and Moses. Do a study about these amazing saints yourself to see if you come to the same conclusion.

 

The antichrist as stated above will then go into the Jewish temple (which isn't built yet) at the end of the first half of the tribulation period and will defile it.

“Therefore when you see the ‘abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place” (whoever reads, let him understand),

“then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.

“Let him who is on the housetop not go down to take anything out of his house. “And let him who is in the field not go back to get his clothes.

“But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days!

“And pray that your flight may not be in winter or on the Sabbath. “For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be.

“And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened.

 

Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and you who dwell in them! Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea! For the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has a short time. Rev 12:12

 

Now when the dragon saw that he had been cast to the earth, he persecuted the woman who gave birth to the male Child.

But the woman was given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness to her place, where she is nourished for a time and times and half a time, from the presence of the serpent. Rev 12:14

 

It is believed by many scholars and students of bible prophecy that when the Jews see the abomination of desolation not only are they to flee, just as Jesus said. But they are to flee to a place of safety, which is believed to be Petra in Jordan.

​

There are a few scriptures that allude to this, such as, Daniel 11:41 He shall also enter the Glorious Land, and many countries shall be overthrown; but these shall escape from his hand: Edom, Moab, and the prominent people of Ammon. The country of Jordan will be one of the only places that elude the antichrist’s control during the Great Tribulation.

​

Rev. 12:14 which says that the woman, who represents the believing remnant of Israel, will flee into the desert to a place prepared for them during the Great Tribulation. The closest desert hiding place is Petra. But the woman was given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness to her place, where she is nourished for a time and times and half a time, from the presence of the serpent. Notice how long God protects the Jewish remnant while they are in Petra, three and one half years. In other words those who escape to Petra will be protected by God for the duration of the last three and a half years of the antichrist's reign.

Also in Isaiah 63:1-4, the Lord is shown coming from Bozrah, the region where Petra is located, having defeated His enemies there.

Who is this who comes from Edom, With dyed garments from Bozrah,
This One who is glorious in His apparel, travelling in the greatness of His strength, “I who speak in righteousness, mighty to save.”

Why is Your apparel red, And Your garments like one who treads in the winepress?

“I have trodden the winepress alone, And from the peoples no one was with Me.
For I have trodden them in My anger, And trampled them in My fury;
Their blood is sprinkled upon My garments, And I have stained all My robes.

For the day of vengeance is in My heart, And the year of My redeemed has come.

 

Many scholars believe that He will do this just prior to arriving in Jerusalem at the 2nd

Coming, to protect the believing remnant. 

 

 

THE START OF THE GREAT TRIBULATION

 

The Seventh Trumpet  Then the seventh angel sounded: And there were loud voices in heaven, saying, “The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!

And the twenty-four elders who sat before God on their thrones fell on their faces and worshiped God,

 

There will be no more kingdoms, no more kings. When Christ comes, there will be only one kingdom and one king. With every knee bowing, and every tongue confessing that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father.

 

The Worship Of The Beast 

 

The apostle John describes the two beasts. The first one is the antichrist and the

second is the false prophet who does all the signs and wonders through the power

of the antichrist who is now possessed by Satan himself. 

​

And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they

worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make

war with him.

And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies;

and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.

And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name,

and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.

And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them:

and power was given him over all kindreds, tongues, and nations.

And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

 

This next guy is the false prophet. The Bible says he had two horns like a lamb, but he spoke like a dragon.

Don't be fooled by this guy. He will lead countless millions to hell by fooling people into believing that the antichrist is the long-awaited messiah.

 

And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spoke as a dragon.

And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.

And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, 

And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.

And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed. Rev 13

 

I have always believed, and still do that this guy will be the pope. At the moment,

the current pope, Francis is trying to unite all the churches together.

In other words a one-world religion, with Rome at its head, and under the banner

of let's coexist.

 

This guy will have powers given to him by Satan through the antichrist, so that he seems to give power to the image of the beast and also he is able to duplicate calling down fire from Heaven, just like Elijah did. He performs great signs, so that he even makes fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men. Rev 13:13

​

He also institutes an allegiance programme on behalf of the antichrist called the Mark of the Beast or 666 as it is also known. He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666.

The Prelude To the Bowl Judgments

 

Then I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvellous: seven angels having the seven last plagues, for in

them the wrath of God is complete.

After these things I looked, and behold, the temple of the Tabernacle of the testimony in heaven was opened.

And out of the temple came the seven angels having the seven plagues, clothed in pure bright linen, and

having their chests girded with golden bands.

Then one of the four living creatures gave to the seven angels seven golden bowls full of the wrath of God

who lives forever and ever.

The temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God and from His power, and no one was able to enter

the temple till the seven plagues of the seven angels were completed. Rev 15

 

 

First Bowl Judgment  Sores. So the first went and poured out his bowl upon the earth, and a foul and

loathsome sore came upon the men who had the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image.

Rev 16:2

 

This plague will fall upon everyone who has accepted the mark of the beast.

God hates idolatry, that's what this plague is all about. He promised Israel that they would receive this

plague if they did not obey his commandments. The LORD will strike you in the knees and on the legs with

severe boils which cannot be healed, and from the sole of your foot to the top of your head. Deut  28:35

This was also the sixth plague that God sent to Egypt, and also to Miriam in Numbers 12:10

​

This plague is all about affliction, God allowed Satan to afflict Job with this Job 2:7 So Satan went out from

the presence of the LORD, and struck Job with painful boils from the sole of his foot to the crown of his head.

And again by taking the mark of the beast, what you are really doing is swearing allegiance to the antichrist.

In other words this is idol worship, and God will send this plague because of it.

​

Please, do not take this mark. These last seven bowls of wrath are God's wrath poured out full strength on a

Christ rejecting world.

 

Second Bowl Judgment The seas turn to blood. Then the second angel poured out his bowl on the sea,

and it became blood as of a dead man; and every living creature in the sea died. Rev 16:3

 

When the 2nd trumpet judgment sounded, a third of the seas became blood, here all the seas of the earth

become blood.

Can you imagine that? All oceans!

The fish will die, and this will be a deathly blow to all the fishing industries of the earth.

And with the congealing of the blood, can you imagine what this will do to the shipping industry,

not to mention the putrid stink and disease that comes with it?

I would imagine that anyone living near coastal parts would have to move due to the smell and disease. 

 

 

Third Bowl Judgment  Fresh water turns to blood. Then the third angel poured out his bowl on the

rivers and springs of water, and they became blood Rev 16:4.

In this, the third bowl judgment, we see the turning of the waters to blood now extends to all freshwater

rivers, lakes and dams. Even the freshwater springs all turn to blood.

This judgment is due to all the wicked who have slain the blood of all the saints and prophets. 

And I heard the angel of the waters saying, “You are righteous, O Lord,
The One who is and who was and who is to be, Because You have judged these things.

For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, And You have given them blood to drink.

For it is their just due.”

​

This is a righteous judgment of God.

Rejoice, O Gentiles, with His people; For He will avenge the blood of His servants,
And render vengeance to His adversaries;
He will provide atonement for His land and His people.” Deut 32:43

 

 

Fourth Bowl Judgment  Scorched with great heat. Then the fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun,

and power was given to him to scorch men with fire.

And men were scorched with great heat, and they blasphemed the name of God who has power over these

plagues; and they did not repent and give Him glory.

Rev 16:8,9

Every other summer we hear on television, or experience a heatwave, that causes people to suffer sunstrokes,

some even fatal.

Any heatwave we've ever experienced will never compare with this one to come.

Jesus said in Luke 21:7And there will be great earthquakes in various places, and famines and pestilences;

and there will be fearful sights and great signs from heaven.

Add to this all the sores, the blood and the lack of fresh drinking water will make this judgment such a

terrible one.

 

I believe that at this point, the time for repentance may well and truly be over, as the verse states that they

blasphemed the name of God and repented not. 

This judgment should not affect the tribulation saints, because Jesus said in Rev 7:16 “They shall neither hunger

anymore nor thirst anymore; the sun shall not strike them, nor any heat". Praise God.

 

 

 

Fifth Bowl Judgment  Darkness and pain fall on the Antichrist's kingdom. "And the fifth angel poured

out his vial upon the seat of the beast, and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues

for pain, And blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and repented not

of their deeds." Revelation 16:10-11

​

The world was divided up into ten kingdoms, all ruled by ten kings with the antichrist ruling all.

I would assume that this verse is talking about a worldwide darkness so intense that you can see absolutely

nothing.

Add to that, the incredible sores which by this stage are getting worse, the wretched polluted seas 

no water to drink and the scorching sun, will make them gnaw their tongues because of the pain.

Joel 2:1,2  Blow the trumpet in Zion, And sound an alarm in My holy mountain!
Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble; For the day of the LORD is coming, For it is at hand:

A day of darkness and gloominess, A day of clouds and thick darkness,

Like the morning clouds spread over the mountains.

And once again, they blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores,"

and that takes you all the way to the first and tells you how cumulative it is, "And they didn't repent of their deeds."

 

 

 

Sixth Bowl Judgment  Euphrates River dries up.   "And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared. And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. For they are the spirits of devils, working

miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle

of that great day of God Almighty. Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth

his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame. And He gathered them together into a place

called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.

Revelation 16:12-16

This judgment is a preparation of the way so to speak. This is literal, and as you can see from the pic this

is actually starting to happen right now. (Click on the picture on the right to see a picture gallery and some

These three evil spirits in the shape of frogs come from the satanic trio, with one purpose,

to deceive the nations.

And to convince them to go to battle against the people of God.

When all these nations converge on Jerusalem, then the seventh bowl will be poured out.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Seventh Bowl Judgment   Extremely powerful earthquake. And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done. And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great.

And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in

remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.

And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.

And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent:

and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.

 Revelation 16:17-21

 

So powerful will this earthquake be, that it will flatten every mountain and island. Hailstones weighing

approximately 100 lbs each will rain down on the earth.

This event is both a cataclysmic judgment on mankind and a preparation for the coming Millennial Kingdom

of Christ, as the lands are made flat to create space for the multitudes that will live on the earth after Christ's

reign begins. 

After this final judgment, the Lord Jesus Christ will soon return to the earth, to destroy all the Antichrist's armies.

 

The seventh angel poured the seventh bowl into the air, why?

Because it is the present headquarters of Satan.

In which you once walked according to the course of this world, according

to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons

of disobedience. Eph 2:2

 

The Lord said in Rev 16:17, "It is done"  

The very last time the Lord said words like this, was on the cross when he

cried, "It is finished,"  then he was bearing God's judgment for our sins.

 

This time he speaks judgment upon all who have rejected him.

What happened after he spoke on the cross, he died and there was an

earthquake. 

​

It will be the same this time also, only this earthquake will probably be the

worst earthquake in the history of the world, because it will flatten every mountain.
